SPECIAL OCCASION

The fortnightly challenge over at LET'S CRAFT & CREATE is a Special Occasion.  As it is Mother's Day here in New Zealand on the 13th May I have made this card for my Mother in-law.

I came across these lovely images and template at FRED SHE SAID.  Not sure if you can see but I have pierced a pattern onto the card.  I have added a butterfly using a Martha Stewart hand punch. The daffodil flower head is layered using 3d foam squares.

ZIPPER BROOCH

Today I would like to share with you a brooch I have made using a zip out of my husbands overalls.(Don't worry they were heading for the rag bin).I have wanted to make one of these for a while now.  I was browsing the web yesterday and came across this fabulous tutorial on You Tube.  So I thought I would give it a go.

For my first attempt I am quite happy with the results.

SENTIMENTS (As main focal point)

It's time for another challenge at Let's Craft & Create.  This fortnight your challenge is to make a project with your sentiment as your main focal point.

For some inspiration I have made a card using papers from Picadilly paper collection.  I handmade the crochet flower and added some rhinestones.  The sentiment is a rubon.

A SHAPED CARD

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is titled "A SHAPED CARD".  For some inspiration this fortnight I decided to make a card in the shape of a babies bib.  A very plain and simple card made using spellbinders circle dies and finishing it off with some wee buttons and ribbon.

COLOUR INSPIRATION

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is to make a project using the below picture for your colour inspiration.

I have never done a challenge like this before so I kept my card quite safe and choose the two shades of pink.

Background papers are from the Docrafts Forever Friends cd and the baby image is "Bambino" one of a Sugar Nellie digital stamp in the Simply Adorable Collection.  You can purchase the images at Funky Kits.  I have coloured her with prismacolor pencils.

BABY BOY CARD

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while but I have been sick with a nasty flu and have lost all my passion for crafts.

Before I got sick I made this baby card for a friend and with the challenge over at Let's Craft & Create  being "Buttons & Bows" I thought it would be good for some inspiration for all.

Papers and image are from the Forever Friends CD.  I have added some wee star buttons and some organza ribbon.

LESS IS MORE

This fortnights challenge at Let's Craft & Create is "LESS IS MORE".

For some inspiration for this challenge I would like to share with you a birthday card I made.

I bought this gorgeous adhesive ribbon and together with some black and silver card this is what I came up with.  The embossing folder I have used is a Cuttlebug and the sentiment is a rubon.
