FLOWER POWER

It's time again for our fortnightly challenge over at Let's Craft & Create.  This fortnights challenge is all about Flower Power.  We would love to see all your wonderful creations including flowers.

For some inspiration I have made a card using papers and image from The Paper Shelter.  The circle sentiment I have created my own version in microsoft publisher after seeing something similar in blog world.

VALENTINES DAY

It's challenge time again (YAY).  This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is all about your valentine.  In this challenge we would like to see your lovely creations you make for that someone special in your life.

This challenge works well for me as my husband and I are about to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary in February so I have made him something a little special.

The image for this card comes from The Paper Shelter and the sentiment from The Pink Petticoat.

In my stash I came across this wee heart tin.  I decorated it with some ribbon and roses added a tag and filled it with some yummy jelly beans.

BUTTERFLIES

Happy New Year to All!!

Thankyou to everyone who particapanted in our last challenge.  A fantasic effort by all.

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is Butterflies.  So we want to see a project with butterflies on it.

For some inspiration I have made a simple card using the Agapanthus Thank You stamp from Stampendous coloured with Sea Breeze VersaMagic ink.  The butterfly has been cut out of cork and some reinstones added for a little bling.  The words have been computer generated.

ANYTHING GOES

As Christmas creeps up upon us it is time for another challenge over at Let's Craft & Create.

Our challenge this time is "ANYTHING GOES"

This challenge is going to run for 3 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks to take us over the Christmas & New Year period.

For this challenge I have made a simple card and a wee pouch to hold some hair clips and ties.

For the card I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a Spellbinder Blossom Die.  The ribbon is from Ribbon Girl and the bling is from my stash.  The image I have used is one from the Forever Friends cd rom.

For the pouch I have used the same materials but on a smaller scale and have also used a Sizzix embossing folder.

I also made the hair clips and hair ties.

ROUND AND ROUND

This fortnights challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is named ROUND AND ROUND.
(Use a circle or circles on design).

I have made two cards for this challenge.

I made this card for a relatives birthday.  The image and paper I purchased from The Paper Shelter and I made the circular sentiment on my computer.

For my second card I have made this Christmas countdown easel advent card.  I purchased the digital kit from The Printable Craft Shop.  I thought this card would be perfect for my parents as they have a dairy farm on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand.

TRIM THE TREE

This fortnights challenge over at Lets Craft & Create is "Trim The Tree".

For this challenge I have made a quilted bauble.  Even though there was alot of cutting, ironing and pinning I had alot of fun making this.  If you would like to have a go at making one of these check this tutorial out at http://crafterwithoutacat.blogspot.com/2009/08/ornament-tutorial.html.  This is not the only tutorial I looked at.  There are many other tutorials out there and many variations.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

Another fortnight has come around quickly (and I still have not made a start on my Christmas cards).  Maybe this week.

This fortnight challenge over at Let's Craft & Create is Reuse, Renew, Recycle.

For this challenge I wanted to make something a little different so I decided to reuse a pre-decimal New Zealand stamp and make it into a necklace.

Sorry for the poor quality of the necklace photo but the light was not good.
